In this deeply therapeutic and restorative special class will explore a specific yoga style that is designed to resolve your chronic hip and spinal tension. We often stretch and strengthen muscles in a yoga class, but rarely do we find a moment to fully embody the release of the deeper spinal muscles. On a physical level, tight spinal muscles can increase loading of the spinal joints and alter their alignments. On a physiological level, they can impair communication between your nervous system and your vital, digestive, and reproductive organs. Tense spinal muscles can further induce stress, causing one to feel anxious, restless, unstable, insecure, and easily fatigued.
