In our sleep-deprived and depleted culture, we continue to push and ask for more, which creates an internal cycle of further depletion while lacking the knowledge of replenishing and rejuvenating. What once were deemed problematic - stress, lack of sleep, and fatigue - are now the new norm. We no longer know what it is like to be functioning at 100% performance.
In this workshop, IAYT-certified Yoga Therapist Elaine Oyang will discuss the havoc on the body, mind, and spirit of chronic depletion and how to remedy it from the viewpoints of modern Western sciences and the ancient wisdom of Eastern sciences (Yoga + Ayurveda). The experiential part of the workshop will highlight the importance of Restorative Yoga practices, Yoga Nidra, and meditation as well as daily routines/rituals to support the body's natural rejuvenation.
